Like its mahogany/cedar Grand Auditorium counterpart, the Legacy 714ce features a cedar top, but it’s paired here with Indian rosewood back and sides. Voiced with traditional X-bracing, it serves up a richly textured sound with warm lows, clear trebles and exceptional touch sensitivity, offering a response that adapts effortlessly across genres and playing styles. Like its 514ce counterpart, this model features a modern Taylor neck with a comfortably slim, hand-friendly profile. Visual details follow the sleek, understated style worn by the 714ce for many years, including black binding with black and white pinstripes, dot fretboard inlays in green abalone and a matching three-ring rosette, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, gold tuning machines, and gloss-finished body with a satin-finished neck.
