This book contains the official repertoire for Conservatory Canada's Level 2 piano examinations. The Mosaics Collection is a graded series (Pre-Grade 1 - Grade 8) that includes repertoire for Conservatory Canada examinations. It provides students and teachers with a diverse body of music from a wide variety of genres and styles to suit both our Classical as well as Contemporary IdiomsTM exams, and can also be used as a graded teaching anthology for student pianists. Efforts were made to include historical music previously unpublished in conservatory publications, music from Canada’s diverse regions and cultures, music written by forgotten women and BIPOC composers as well as new music written by Canadian composers specifically for this publication. Additional music from our expanding repertoire lists as well as exam requirements are only found through our exam syllabi online at conservatorycanada.ca. The grading of Conservatory Canada examinations are designed such that students are encouraged to learn many pieces at each Grade level to become well-rounded enough in their skills to later succeed in the advanced levels.
