Violoncello Method

Justus Johann Friedrich Dotzauer

Soft Cover
Instrumentation: Cello
Item Number: O3675
Number of Pages: 48
Publisher: Carl Fischer Music

Dotzauer's Violoncello Method, Opus 165 was revolutionary upon publishing, advocating, for example, the novel practice of holding the bow at the frog and not above it. Dotzauer also published a variety of other pedagogical works, most of which are still commonly used today. This method was published with a second cello part both to add interest to the exercises and to introduce ensemble playing.
