Stage Box Expander Audiorack For SQ/Qu/AHM/Avantis Digital Mixing Systems
The Allen & Heath AR-84 Stage Box is an 8 XLR inputs 4 XLR output 48kHz remote AudioRack. Compatible with GLD, Qu and SQ mixers, it can be connected from the Expander port of an AB-168 or AR2412 remote AudioRack using the dSNAKE protocol.
The Allen & Heath AR-84 Stage Box is a Layer 2 ethernet protocol, so can be transported thru a VLAN or media converters. Adding the Allen & Heath AR-84 to your system lets you position some of your I/O up to 100m from the mixer, connected over a single Cat5 cable running Allen & Heath’s dSNAKE protocol. dSNAKE provides control to the remote preamp, and all mic preamps are scene recallable. The Allen & Heath AR-84 Stage Box is simply an audio interface. It cannot be used by itself. It must connect to the GLD or Qu mixer which is where the audio is processed.
