• While all our instruments are educator approved and high quality, our premium and standard instruments have additional benefits ranging from better, more durable cases to more ergonomic designs for easier learning.
• Standard instruments, Snare Drum Kits, Combo Kits, or Fender Squier Bass with Amps do not necessarily have the mentioned brand available at time of rental or purchase. In these cases, a brand of comparable model and equal price will be offered as a substitute, based upon availability and subject to change at any time.
• Economy instruments are for PURCHASE only (not available for rental) and are not qualified for the BUY-BACK program.

• New instruments are brand-new from our manufacturers.
• Near New instruments are used, but in near new condition with minimal cosmetic wear.
• Used instruments are used but in good condition with some cosmetic wear.
• All near new and used instruments are in good playable condition and have been fully cleaned and serviced by our Band Repair Technicians.

• You have the option to purchase an instrument outright, rent a school instrument for the school year, or rent month-to-month. If your child intends to remain in band long term, we recommend purchasing the instrument instead of renting as there are greater cost savings compared to renting over time. If you are uncertain about your child’s commitment to the band program, the monthly rental is an ideal option as you can cancel at any time after 2 months of renting.

  • School Year Rentals:
    
    

    Rentals commencing in June of the previous school year will qualify for a “1st Summer Free” discounted rate. Our School Year Rental rate covers the school year through to June 30, 2022 and is paid in advance at the time of rental. Your rental can be returned anytime without penalty and the unused portion of the rental will be refunded based on the monthly rental rates shown in our rental brochure

  • 100% of Rent Applies to Purchase:
    
    

    100% of your rental payment applies to the purchase of the instrument you are renting. A 20% Early Bonus Discount of your outstanding balance is available if you purchase the instrument within 24 months and are renting on the Monthly Rent-To-Own Program (Bonus Discount is NOT applicable for School Year Rent-To-Own Program).

  • Monthly Rentals / Exchanges:
    
    

    The Monthly rental rate is a per-month rental rate, with a 2 months minimum payment. Rent is payable 2 months in advance, then monthly pre-authorized payments either by cheque or credit card is collected. Your rental instrument may be exchanged for another instrument of equal or greater value within 12 months of your rental (monthly or yearly program) without loss of your Rent-to-Own credit.

    If after 12 months an exchange happens, Rent-To-Own credit is lost and accumulation starts over. In regards to Orchestral Strings only, after 12 months for each exchange, 60% rental credit may transfer from a smaller size instrument to a larger size instrument (up to 3/4). This is to allow for the frequency of a student’s physical growth during the rental period where exchanges would happen frequently.

• With the Tom Lee Music Protection Plan paid, Tom Lee Music will repair the instrument if it is accidentally damaged or is a minor repair (as determined by the Tom Lee Music technician) up to the deductible amount. Tom Lee Music will replace the instrument if it is stolen (coverage within BC only) upon the payment of the applicable deductible amount. Claim for theft or loss must include a police report. The Tom Lee Music Protection Plan does not cover damage resulting from wilful abuse (as determined by the Tom Lee Music technician) nor to missing accessories or missing instrument parts. If it is a major repair (as determined by the Tom Lee Music technician) which cost is beyond the deductible amount, then the deductible is paid by the lessee. Deductible amounts are $100 for used instruments and $200 for new instruments. There is no Protection Plan coverage for loaner instrument. The lessee is responsible for all damage and loss charges on loaners. Accumulated Rental Credit will not be transferred to new rental instru­ment that replaced the stolen, missing or un-repairable instrument.

For monthly rentals, the Protection Plan will be charged every month ($2 + taxes), with 2 months upfront charge (like the monthly rental fee).

For yearly rentals, the full Protection Plan fee for the school year ($20 + taxes) is charged at the time of the rental
